Knot and Purl in Newton Highlands has brought a whole new crafting concept to the city, called “open crafting.” Here, crafters of all ages drop in, pay a single fee, and craft as long as they’d like, creating multiple projects using the studio’s arts and crafts materials. There’s a wall of projects for inspiration like decoupaged shells, painted mandalas, macrame plant hangers, mosaics, melted crayon artwork—and that’s just for starters.
At Knot and Purl owner-entrepreneur Tracy Herman has created a spot where we can unplug, catch our breath, and simply have a joyful time crafting with friends, family, or on our own. These days, it’s just what we need.
Tracy will be at the July 31st Pop-up with an easy decoupage activity, running from 11:30 AM- 12 PM. She’ll also have a collection of inexpensive crafty little kits for unplugging at home during lazy summer days.
